  • Every time I hear the title of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love", I immediately think someone went and wrote a pro-ana anthem or it's a song about being in love with a heroin addict.

  • I tend to think it's about loving someone who is destroying themselves.

  • I know. I love the song, but I hate that that's what everyone thinks of when they hear the title.
But overall, what do you think about it? Aside from the title?

  • @SasGal – I think that's what it's actually about (at the very least, that's the interpretation I like the most). And I like an interpretation of the title I read somewhere, that it's skinny love because the relationship has been "starved". But, for whatever reason, my initial thoughts at hearing the title tend to be different.

@XxbutterflyknivesXx – I really like it. I occasionally feel like the lyrics become somewhat too vague, though – as a whole – they have a great visual element to them; also, I think it's the melody of the song that really drives home the emotion of the song.
