You know, for such a keen distributer (since that's really Disney's main focus these days), Disney can't seem to find that they'd probably sell a ton more if they didn't ingrain all of their characters with inane stereotypes and actually peddled gender and race politics of a higher caliber. If I had a kid, I wouldn't let him/her/zir near the Disney channel.

And, on an utterly unrelated note, this music video is astoundingly awesome:

  • Many of the Disney movies remain iconic, like Wall E, Ratatouille, and Toy Story. Others like the straight-to-DVD Tinker Bell--wellll---I’m willing to overlook the silly stuff for the sake of the cream of the crop.

If you’re talking about the possibility of kids, esp. girls turning into Britney-Lindsey-Miley wannabe due to overexposure to the Disney Channel sitcoms--that I might concede.

I confess an irrational sentimental attraction to the Disney One Saturday Morning shows my kids used to watch growing up (with their dad). Recess, Penny, Doug, Phil Of The Future, Kim Possible, House of Mouse, That’s So Raven, etc.

  • Disney is getting quite weird lately. :/ Personally, I wish they would go back to making more cartoon movies, but I suppose when you have new technology, you should go forward and not backwards.

I used to love Disney Channel, though. Prolly up to four or five years ago. I loved them Cheetah Girls.... xD' Ah, Queen. <3
