as a teenager, before i became an Evangelical Christian, i fancied myself something of a rather idealistic & hopelessly inept chivalrous romantic, somewhat after the fashion of Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha; toss in some reverence for the Fair Gender, as Dante has for Beatrice. I'd like to think that i still retain some of that persona.
